Horrorfest 2010: Sneak Peek!

Omg….the time is almost here!  Horrorfest 2010!!!  Horrorfest run in SL from Oct 15th-Oct 31st and showcases some of the Hottest and Best in Second Life horror!   Horrorfest 2010 is supporting the charity  The Sophie Lancaster Foundation. Each vendor at Horrorfest will be offering a new release design with 100% of the proceeds going to The Sophie Lancaster Foundation.  Please take some time to click the link above for more information about this great charity!

The Jill-O-Lantern Costume is just AWESOME!!   The sculpted skirt is just too adorable with all the pumpkins on it, and actually looked great on my more “rounded” bottem.  The black blouse is accented with sculpty  long cowl neckline and cuffs with ribbons of orange in it. Since this outfit is separates, I will be rocking this top with other outfits!   This is the perfect outfit for bopping around SL this Halloween season checking out the sites……like Horrorfest!!   *lol*  100% of the sales of Jill-O-Lantern Costume will be going straight to our charity!   You know you want this!!

I am a geek when it comes to Halloween decor in SL and these hanging coffins are one of those MUST haves!!  High attention to detail to make every house spooky and inviting.  The prim count varies depending on size: Large -  18 prims, Med -   33 prims, Small -   7 prims….which makes it’s perfect for every size house in SL!    100% of the sale of this item goes to charity!!!

There always comes that moment in SL that we all wonder to ourselves “Omg….why don’t they make this in RL???”  Sawblade Nightmare is that kind of costume.  It’s the kind of outfit you wear when making amends with your enemies by shaking their hand. *lol*   Two huge, 3-blade circular saws on the end of your arms, capri pants splattered with blood and some lovely slashes in your chest ……what more could you ask for this Halloween season?    (skin and shoes are not included)  100% of the sale of this outfit will go to charity!!

This outfit made me re-think my phobia of Clowns.  *lol*  Such a cute outfit for Halloween!!  And guess what….it pretty much comes with everything!!  The outfit, skin, shoes….red nose!!  (hair is not included) The Tricks Skullie basket is also offered from Maezy Magic for Horrorfest too.  When you touch it….it gives you such delicious things like Gummie Bears, Pumpkin bread, Soft pretzels….etc!  Hello!!  Soft pretzel’s people!!   The Horrorfest Clown outfit and Tricks Skullie basket will both be available at Horrorfest with 100% of proceeds of these items going to charity!

5th Sneak Peek: Sacred Rose – Butcher’s Secret Room by Kiera Seda

There comes a time when the drama has to end….the killing begin.  Sacred Rose’s “Butcher’s Secret Room” is the perfect place to dispose of those avatar’s who have overstayed their welcome.   Comes complete with rats and butcher’s table!!  Time to slice and dice!!  Throw your victim up upon the table and serve up some sushi!   *Hacked up boyfriend not included* *lol*  100% of the proceeds of this item will go to charity!!!

Halloween Madness @ The House

Halloween time is here and when it comes…..my inner “spooky” self does cartwheels with the vast amout of Halloween decor SL has to offer.  My holiday decor folders in my inventory rival my clothing folders. *lol*   I actually giggled being able to bring out my electrocution chair onto the land.  Apparently seeing my head fry and blowing up….makes me happy.

Horrorfest 2010: Still looking for volunteers

Horrorfest 2010 Horrorfest 2010: Oct 15th-31st The Guild of Gloom would like to invite you to participate in this years Horrorfest Horrorfest is a fortnight long horror themed event to be held the last two weeks in October showcasing all that is on the darkside of SL. It will feature all sorts of good stuff, a hunt, burlesque dancers, DJ events, and much much more Two of our creative team were the organizers of the Zombiefest events which accumulatively raised 700,000L$ for charity and saw traffic of 50,000. ***We are still in need of Dj’s, Greeters, Bloggers, Dancers*** Only 4 weeks to go now, and we at the Guild of Gloom are getting very excited for Horrorfest, and we’d like to take this opportunity to reveal a little more about our plans and the charity we are supporting. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was created in memory of Sophie Lancaster, who was murdered in an horrific attack on her and her partner Robert Maltby because they were ‘Goths’ The aims and objectives of the Charity are as follows: To create a lasting legacy to Sophie. To provide educational group-works that will challenge the prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures. To campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from “alternative subcultures” or “Lifestyle and Dress” We felt that Sophies charity was the perfect beneficiary for us, and this, and all future events by The Guild of Gloom will be held to help raise both funds and awareness for the Foundation. As well as supporting inworld, we also encourage you to visit their RL Sophie Merchandise Website and show your support there if you wish. Ok so on to the actual event. We have had an overwhelming response from people wanting to participate, so much so that we have no option than to close all applications on Sunday 19th Sept at midnight SL time. Fucking Cool Shit: TrigiTec Shop Music Tuner Internet Radios

Ok, so apparently you need some kind of music in your SL house, on your land……yah, yah, yah.  We have all had this problem.  Until recently, I would just scan stations on shoutcast, get the stream info and enter it into my land options.  Yah, I know……so 2007.  Let me be, I am a slow learner in SL.  I have known about “radio” receivers in SL for awhile, but it has been one of those “oh…I need one of those, but keep on forgeting I need it” type of things.  

A few days ago, I was chilling at my favorite zyngo place, Gametropolis….when I spied their radio receiver.  Just a simple stand, but it had around 39 pre-set radio stations in it, all of them awesome.  I did a quick “edit” found the creator and had to TP to his shop.  The shop I Tp’d to was TrigiTec Shop Music Tuner Internet Radios.

Trigit Amat’s store is pretty damn staight forward.  All his single radio’s, $397L out the door.  He also sells his radio’s in Packages for Landlords too.  His radios are pretty much “plug and play” which is super easy for everyone, even zee noobs.  Or when you come to think about it…me  *smiles*  The radios are all the same set up, except for the way they look.  He even has one that looks like a 1940′s radio.  When you click it, it starts to dance and does a cute backflip.  Trigit’s radios also allow for you to add your own streams too, always a nice option.  He gives free updates for the life of your radio…..double nice option.

Check out my crotch!!

Well it was bound to happen…..Trev and I are now sharing a blog!  Haha!!  We decided to create this blog cause him and I have a really cool, exciting SL life…..and we wanted to share all of our experiences with others!  Why Drunken Friday’s you might ask?  Each Friday is Trev and I’s “date night ” in SL……which consists of drinking, exploring, and most importantly being morons on skype.   

This blog will be about EVERYTHING!!  What we see, do, places we go and people we meet.  We hope you enjoy!!
